As a small business we believe in supporting other small businesses when we can. Small business promote local enconomies, create jobs, and support communities.

East Shore Specialty Foods: 

From East Shore Specialty Foods: "We" was originally me - Jeri Mesching, teacher, homemaker, and an innovative cook who made everything from scratch. In 1986, my children were raised, and I decided to fill the void with my second love, cooking. I started EAST SHORE with one product, Sweet and Tangy Mustard. The label shows our family home which is on the east shore of a small lake, hence the name EAST SHORE SPECIALTY FOODS. To market my mustard, I conducted many tastings in local gourmet food stores. These events were also market research. Watching people eat and enjoy something I made was all the encouragement I needed to keep me moving forward. My old-fashioned cooked mustard was far too special to be served with an ordinary pretzel, so I developed EAST SHORE Seasoned Pretzels as a companion for the mustard. The rest you may say is history. 

Saucy Confections: 

From Saucy Confections: We were planning our wedding, we wanted unique favors to commemorate our special day that our guests would love that would not end up on a shelf collecting dust. We were getting married in a winery so of course the overall theme of the wedding was wine related...because why not? Who doesn't love wine?! We thought our favors should be edible, so wine candy? No, better… wine flavored gummy bears!! We came up with the idea to make them dinosaur shaped instead and Winosaurs were born. They were such a hit at the wedding, that we spent a year creating and experimenting until we developed the perfect candy made for adults! Why should kids have all the fun?

BobbySue's Nuts: 

From BobbySue's Nuts: This whole journey started with Barb Kobren, a.k.a. BobbySue, wracking her brain in her kitchen. She wanted a better, continuous way to do more for homeless animals. And since the government turned down her proposal to build an animal colony on the moon, “Aww, nuts,” turned into, “Ahh, nuts!” Armed with a delicious snack and a noble mission, she went from store, to market, to supermarket, winning over hearts and taste buds, and turned her home-baked idea into a national brand.
